the International Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2009-2012

the General Sailing Instructions (GSI) and the Race Regulations of the Hungarian Yacht Association for 2012

the International Finn Class Rules

Notice to competitors: will be posted ont he official Notice Board located near the race office.

Schedule:

Around the peninsule regatta on the 5th, warning signal at 11.55 hrs, Practice race: 14.55 warning signal

Warning signal for the first race: 6th Sept. 9.55 hrs, following races will be held back-to-back.

Further programme will be posted on the notice board. Three races per day may be organized. 9 races are planned to be held altogether.

At the last race day no warning signal after 15.00 hrs should announced.

Price giving ceremony will be held after the last race. Exact time be posted on the notice board, located near the Race Office.

Racing course:

The course area is among Tihany-Balatonfüred-Siófok, or Tihany-Balatonföldvár-Örvényes triangle. Up and down courses with different starting and finishing line will be set for each race.

Marks: Yellow, inflated buoys, start and finish marks are buoys with a striped flag.

Scoring:

The General Sailing Instructoins of HYA for 2012 describes the scoring system that apply.

When more than four races have been completed a boat’s regatta score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.

The organizers are scoring separately the masters, grand masters, grand-grand masters, legends and total.

A total of three races are required to be completed to constitute the series.

Amendments to General Saling Instruction (GSI):

GSI 3. Sentence with start Oral changes …… is deleted.

GSI 4.1. Signals made ashore will be displayed at the mast near the marinas entrance gate.

GSI 6. The class flag used at the regatta will be white flag with the Finn class sign.

GSI 7.1. The racing area and the course, see App. 1. Race area is recognisable by the race committee boat.

GSI 9.6. Deleted.

GSI 12.2. Appendix P will apply.

GSI 13.3. Deleted.

GSI 14.5. Delete the words: … within the protest time limit.

Official boats:

- Race committee boat: named Kék Norvég , marked with starting vessel flag and „THE” club flag

- Mark layers marked with small „THE” club flags

- Jury boat marked with white flag with JURY sign

Prizes:

The first three competitors of each category will be awarded. The sponsors of the event are entitled to set up additional prizes.

Social program:

Every evening after the races free beer and wine at the marina kitchen. Dinner party on Friday! . On the 9th the prize giving ceremony will be held at the Monastry’s garden of Tihany.

Other regulations:

Each participant boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance. This insurance will be controlled by the organizers randomly. Not valid insurance holders will be disqualified from the regatta. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta. Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk.
